How long do mushrooms last? How to store them longer?
Once in your refrigerator, your mushrooms can last between 4 to 7 days. After that, they risk becoming spoiled. If your mushrooms become soft, slimy, or discolored, a tip is to throw them away. Also, if the smell or appearance becomes unusual, do not consume them.
For optimal storage, keep the mushrooms in a paper bag. Plastic bags or airtight containers may worsen the preservation of mushrooms.
Little tip: For extended preservation, put your mushrooms in the freezer. They can remain good for consumption for 10 to 12 months.
