What is the difference between all the types of lentils (coral, blond, beluga, or green)?


With so much variety and diversity in these lentils, a few explanations are in order!



Green Lentil:

The star of our region! The green lentil is the most well-known in France. Very rich in minerals and antioxidants, it has a slight nutty flavor.



Blond Lentil:

The blond lentil is characterized by a mild and slightly sweet flavor.

Grown on volcanic highlands, the blond lentil from Saint-Flour is known for its small size and color, which is highly appreciated by chefs.



Coral Lentil:

The coral lentil, with its orange color, has a mild and slightly sweet taste. It will add a touch of sweetness to your various dishes. These lentils cook much faster than the classic green lentil.



Beluga Lentil:

The beluga lentil, also known as vegetable caviar, is a black lentil. With its nutty flavor and good hold during cooking, it wonderfully complements your salads or is perfect for accompanying various dishes.
